On these pages will slowly appear a collection of images I have made over a period of some thirty years using a variety of equipment including Praktica, Olympus, Mamiya, Yashica, Contax, but mostly Nikon. I have an incurable passion for variety in my chosen hobbies and activities. This is evidenced in the choice of subject matter as I have meandered through life observing and recording where & when I can. Please browse though these photographs at your leisure and email me with any comments (especially if a link does not work) or just plain chatter as you prefer. My main aim in producing these pages is to establish contact with like-minded folk from all around the world. Firstly, a small scattering of images from the archives below and then wander off and peek into the other pages via the buttons at the top of this page |

This
Kookaburra patiently awaits it's next meal at Noosa Botanical Gardens.
When they capture a snake or lizard, they always kill it first by bashing
it on their perch. Same goes for sausages they capture at picnics!

An
early start captured this Fijian boy setting out to catch fish before
school on Mana Isl. A little fill-flash would have brightened up the
face, but when you see it, you gotta grab it!

I
particularly like to poke around old buildings and farms, etc. A wealth
of great photo material can be found amongst the clutter sometimes.
Work your wide angle lenses here for a more dramatic perspective.

This
saltwater crocodile was ready with a smile when I came along to his
enclosure at the local Crocodile Park. See more of him and his friends
in my Beasties Page.

I
have a weakness for all things marine, especially boats. There is always
a photograph to be found around the waterfront, particularly at either
end of the day when the lighting is more to the liking of the enthusiastic
photo-freak.

The
humble Nasturtium. This yellow one was struggling for the light of day
under a friend's verandah and caused me to wait quite a while for the
breeze to die down and allow the necessary slow shutter speed. The wait
is usually worth the trouble, besides it is a good time to contemplate
Life, The Universe & Everything!

Rug
merchant at the famous Eumundi Markets on the Queensland Sunshine Coast
displays a wealth of weaving for the sharp eyed bargain hunter. Displays
like this allow much freedom of expression for the alert photographer.
